I Am Done With the WWE

Posted on December 16, 2025 by t.r.preston

I genuinely once believed that Paul Levesque (Triple H) getting his hands on WWE was a blessing. I really did. And things started off so damn well. The entire storyline between Cody and Roman was brilliant. Their rivalry is going down in wrestling history.

But this Cena run. What in the blue hell did I just watch? I have been watching WWE since I was a kid and I have only ever once been this angry with the product, and that was when Jeff Hardy lost his steel cage match to CM Punk, then left the company.

John tapped out to Gunther. JOHN TAPPED OUT TO GUNTHER! Utter garbage. I have never been so insulted in my life. I would’ve been fine with John losing. In fact, that is usually how retirement matches go. You have to pass the torch to the younger generation. But TAPPING OUT? No. Absolutely not. Not John of all people. What is the final message for all of those cancer kids out there who look up to John? Just give up and die? Let the cancer win?

That stadium booed the hell out of that result, and I agree 100% with their feelings. I watch every paperview with my dad. We have been watching it together for decades. We both agreed that we will not be watching another one. We might come back in a few years if things start to get really good again, but we’re out for now.

Paul even said afterward that he understood why people were booing, but he would always do what was best for the business. HOW IS JOHN TAPPING BEST FOR BUSINESS, PAUL?

First Merab loses and now this? This is not my December.
