I’d like to ramble a bit about the general direction that my narrative universe is moving in. I’m currently only covering the first piece of this very large story. There are many pieces that will eventually fall together to create the puzzle I’m going for. Wenworld, which will be a four-book series, is the first of three series that take place inside of the Crystal Worlds. Each series I write will take place in an entirely different land, each one existing within the confines of a Crystal Ball. After I’m done with Wenworld, I will be moving onto an adult fantasy trilogy set in a different world, but still existing in the same universe as Wenworld. This trilogy will be much darker than Wenworld, which is YA. I’ve thought often about whether the jump in content will be jarring, but upon further reflection, Wenworld is dark enough for a YA that it can really fit into the adult bubble without too much difficulty.
It sounds quite confusing as of right now, but this Crystal World system I’m using allows me to try out many different styles of fantasy while still serving the overall story with the ongoing mystery of the Crystals themselves. It’s also much easier to digest when actually reading the books, I promise. There is a grand narrative thread I’m following that I have been working on and adding to since I was in high school. I have spent many years putting the story together, and handling each step one series at a time is the best way for newer people to hop in later down the line. I intend to write each series in this universe so that they can be the starting point for anyone looking to get into my work. This is easily the best decision when it comes to the reach of my books. More people will join the fandom if there happen to be many places where one can easily board the train.
Now, to address what the plan is AFTER I finish with my three Crystal World series. Well, the next book to follow will be one very large prequel story that will tie together all three narratives and explain how they fit together in the universal timeline. And from there, I will finally begin my final story that each individual narrative will be building up to: Mellotican. Mellotican is the purpose of it all. Now, I must be perfectly clear that you don’t really have to read every single series of mine just to understand what is going on. Think of it like Marvel comics, for example. You can enjoy Iron Man as a standalone thing. You don’t have to read or watch Captain America. And hell, you don’t even have to continue onto the Avengers at all if you don’t really want to. If you want to just enjoy Iron Man and nothing else, you can absolutely do so. However, you’ll definitely be missing out on a large chunk of the overall experience. Such is the way with Mellotican.
Here is the current list of books that will be realized by me. Seeing it laid out should help make sense of the direction I’m going. (Keep in mind these names are not finalized and can very likely change by the time I get around to each series. Some of these are many years away. The order in which they come out could also change, though I doubt it. I plan to stay mostly true to this layout.)

Now, here is where things get crazy. Hear me out. This will be my last series that officially ends the journeys of this narrative universe. I am currently predicting it will be 13 books. I know, I know, that’s crazy talk. How could it possibly be that long? Tyler, you imbecile! You freak!
Just trust me. This universe has become my life’s work. It is all I think about every day and has been for years. I’m not overselling it. I’ve put together enough notes and story threads to warrant 13 at least. Hell, I’ve thrown away so many notes that it could’ve been 20 books or more. 13 was the bare minimum I could shave this story down to.
So now you know the plan. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I’ll gladly write as often as I can for the rest of my life. I hope you join me on this extremely long adventure. You’ll never have a shortage of content as a fan of mine, I’ll tell you that.
