I can’t believe we all had to sit there and watch that happen. That was genuinely sad. Jake Paul KO’d a former MMA champion and I don’t want to be alive in this timeline anymore. Jokes aside, I should’ve bet money on that match, because I called exactly what was going to happen many weeks in advance. I said I would be shocked if Ben made it out of the first round. If I put 10k on that fight, I could have 20k in my pocket as I write this. I can’t, for the life of me, understand how anyone thought the match was going to go any different. The second Jake’s next opponent was announced to be Ben I knew it was over. Even in his prime the man’s striking was nothing short of abysmal. Not only that, but the man was in no shape to be in there. He was well out of shape, and he did not possess the mentality. He seemed simply disinterested (even though the match was legit. It was not a work, people). It baffles me that even a single person thought Jake Paul would NOT win that fight. There was no chance of Ben doing anything against him.
Now, that being said, this is not me praising the pristine ability of Jake. The guy still hasn’t done anything impressive. Nothing. He is telling the world that he is Muhammad Ali when he has yet to fight a single boxer. He keeps calling out people with less boxing experience than him to box. He’s going to get a record better than Floyd Mayweather if he keeps going at this pace. He is technically 3-0 right now, but in my mind he is still 0-0. He hasn’t boxed a bloody boxer yet. And for the love of everything that is good in this world, someone please put this kid on his ass. He needs to fight a real boxer now. Put him in there with Canelo and watch him get absolutely demolished. I’ve had more than enough of this circus act. The guy is not a real fighter; putting down Ben Askren does not prove anything. Ben was never the same after what happened with Masvidal. It’s not easy, as a fighter, to recover from that kind of knockout. Ben was, what I like to call ‘stiff-boarded’. That is not the usual knockout. I’m talking when your legs stick out straight and you are out cold. You are never the same after something like that, both mentally and physically. I’m not positive on this statement, but I’d bet it’s easier to be knocked out again after being put out that badly; hence the reason Ben can take several massive shots from Lawler-a clip people have referenced a lot lately-and be perfectly fine, and yet be put down easily by one punch from an ex vine-star. His head isn’t the same after that Masvidal knee. And even if the man was somehow 100% going in there, he still wouldn’t have beaten Paul. He’s a damn wrestler. Why on earth are we watching him box? What has happened to boxing? Is it really all about the money nowadays? It’s just such a sad state of affairs.
I would love for Jake to fight KSI. They both have nearly equal experience and that beef has been building for a long time anyway. I don’t care who it is, but somebody needs to wake that boy up with a clean punch across the jaw. His ego is nauseating. And his big brother is preparing to fight THE Floyd Mayweather. I just . . . don’t even know what’s happening anymore. I’ll tell you this though: if Logan beats Floyd I’m officially compiling the evidence and sending it over to Neil Degrasse Tyson as proof that we are in a glitched simulation. Our universe is breaking.
I would love to witness the demolishing of Jake Paul personally !
